Carpentry, electrical, plumbing, tiling, ducting, metal fabrication, Kay has done small amounts of everything, failing to stick with any of them long enough to develop any sort of certification or permanent attachment. Jack of all trades, master of none.

Born in 1990, Kay grew up in New Brunswick in a semi-rural middle class family. His upbringing was fairly ordinary for this environment, with plenty of outdoor activity, although of course he rather enjoyed his video games too. His performance in school was merely average. Upon becoming an adult, he found himself drifting from one job to the next, avoiding committing to any one particular path. His skill-set became broad, but he was never able to make much money this way. In 2013 he went to live with an online friend in Scotland while attending a series of music festivals, forming a close friendship with Kai Dewar. Two years later, he returned he returned again on a heritage visa, and worked for awhile as a carpenter's assistant, returning home after half a year there. He repeated this trip again in late 2017 to work while attending the large music events which are abundant in Europe but sorely lacking in New Brunswick. In early 2018, while playing some console games at their home with his roommate, a red breach nabs both of them.
