    Târiel is an hourglass-figured ažaras safir (that is to say, essentially, a blue four-armed psychic space elf), with red eyes and knee-length wavy white hair; ve has a heart-shaped face, round calm eyes, and long pointed ears, though kept close to the sides of vis head. Vis skin is somewhat pale, and flawless. At the time of vis migration, ve's wearing faded and well-worn carpenter's jeans with a hole on one knee, a black long-sleeved T-shirt, black slip-on work shoes, and a silver wristwatch.

    Ažaraw (sg. ažar) are a gynomorphic third sex of safir; that is, they present as outwardly female, but can both sire and bear children. While some are demigirls, most use they/them or ve/vis/ver pronouns in English; Târiel is in the latter camp.

Has an anti-reflection sight upgraded by Serris of Serris Arms with a magitech charm to increase reliability, but still doesn't look right with Târiel's non-sighting (right) eye open. Includes a pair of safety goggles dynamic shading anti-shatter glass, supplemented by a magitech crystal tuned to detect inbound beams and block them in a localized circle.

              Moving from one location to another.

              Requires 20 to 30 seconds of concentration, and can only be to places within 1 km with which Târiel has a well-formed emotional bond, or if ve is at such a place, to places within 1 km that ve has visited before.
            • Repercussions:
              This power takes about an hour to recharge.
        • - Aura Reading
            • Description:
              Perceive energy fields surrounding people, places, and things.
            • Limits:
              Cannot read aurae of things more than 10 m away, and ve has to concentrate on the object(s) for a few seconds.
        • - Retrocognition
            • Description:
              Târiel is prone, after a minute or two standing in a given area or touching a given object, to sometimes receiving visions about its past. Ve has never received more than two visions of the same area, and that only once, during a week-long camping trip.
            • Limits:
              These visions are never voluntary.
        • - Telekinesis
            • Description:
              Lifting and moving 10 kg (22 lb) with vis mind, and has a fine grain of control over anything so affected.
            • Limits:
              Requires 10 to 15 seconds' concentration. Târiel cannot move more than 10 kg (22 lb) this way, and any item ve wishes to move must be within line of sight and 100 m. Vis telekinesis cannot be executed beyond the surface of a solid.
            • Repercussions:
              This power can take anywhere from two minutes to several hours to recharge, depending on the mass and location of the object being moved, as well as the distance and force required to move it.
        • - Telepathy
            • Description:
              Capable of communicating telepathically, and can manifest fully-formed images and dreamscapes in doing so. Ve can also pick up "vocalized" surface thoughts, and target vis sending to (a) specific mind(s); targeted sending is the general case.
            • Limits:
              Cannot so communicate with mindless beings, or any being more than 100 m away.
        • - Inhuman Senses
            • Description:
              As a safir, Târiel is capable of sensing electrical currents, magnetic fields, and psychic energy flows, as well as seeing ultraviolet & the polarization of light (both linear & circular), and is capable of hearing higher- and lower-pitched sounds than humans.
            • Limits:
              The ranges of the latter two senses are about the same as human sight and hearing; and 100 m for the others.

        Background


        World Information:
        The Safir Alliance is a space-opera conworld, with technology about the same as modern-day Earth (or maybe a little bit ahead), psionics, and faster-than-light travel. The safir are first among equals in the government, etc. of the eponymous supraplanetary organization, though they are far from its only species — on the safir adoptive homeworlds of Daia and Lessa alone, one can find dragons, nagas, humans, avens, coralfolk, dolphin-like sapients, and giant sapient psychic spiders. Its present day is the same time as Earth's, though its days are only 20 hours long, and its year 15 Earth months. Also of note is that since first contact with Earth in 1999 AD, there has been significant economic, etc. interchange between Earth and the Safir Alliance.

        Retcons of her home setting: Safirian Empire -> Safir Alliance, the main constituent country of the Alliance now has a proper name, the Queendom of Firneramnen, and Āirumāli no longer uses <à > and indeed its own name is writ slightly differently now. Also corrected style errors in paranormal abilities and retconned the incongruous AMD logo off of her shirt.
