Marsilion Performing Arts Center

Description:
The Marsilion Performing Arts Center is a large venue with indoor and outdoor components.

There is the main building in the center, containing the Main Stage, 2 small stages, and the music stage. Then there is a dedicated outdoor stage, a large greenspace that can be apportioned as necessary, and several buildings with practice rooms and some smaller black box theaters.

The Main Stage is a proscenium type theater with a large stage built to incorporate mechanics and magicks, while the house includes an orchestral pit, and the auditorium- complete with boxes and a balcony for extra seating. On one side of the house, the boxes can be opened to the outside to allow large patrons such as dragons to view the performances. Acoustics and magicks make the sound quality in the Main Stage impeccable.

There are a pair of smaller stages in another wing, where smaller shows like children’s theater can be put on with less concern for using the whole capabilities of the Main Stage. These are also capable of being converted to movie theaters.

Lastly in the main building is the music stage, which is optimized for live music performances of any kind, from rock bands to orchestras. Much work went into perfecting the acoustics of this stage.

The outdoor stage is a large amphitheater type construction that gives way to the green space, allowing for massive audiences. A retractable canvas roof can cover the stage and amphitheater when weather requires it. The stage itself has configurable lifts and lighting, allowing for dynamic performances.

Several more smaller buildings dot the venue- merchandise shops, guest services, etc. There are a couple more buildings with black box stages and rehearsal spaces. One of these black box stages is considered the “Toon” stage, where toonfolk put on their gags and comedies.
