Winter Comet

As winter approaches and temperatures drop a new sight becomes visible in the night sky. A light glowing brighter, an icy blue comet is coming into visual range.

The comet seems to be emitting a radiation that is boosting many arcane properties of many people and devices.

OOC: It is up to the players if their character/devices are effected. Some possible examples include but are not limited to.

• Magic abilities being stronger/different then expected.
• Characters gaining new magical abilities, even if they normally can't use magic.
• Magitech may overload from an over abudance of power.
• Unpowered magitech may suddenly turn on or be unable to be turned off

The comet is coming closer to the planet, and its energy is having a chilling effect, literally as the temperatures re plummeting.

The comet is passing close to the planet, at this range its gravity is causing small tremors periodically in the area. Furthermore at this range the strange energy its emitting is causing numerous transformations. It doesn't seem to effect everyone but is potent until a countermeasure is found. This doesn't seem limited to organics as several objects are changing too.

OOC: Again its upt the players if their characters/devices are transformation effected. For setting changes ops can make calls though players are free to ask.

As the comet leaves the immediate proximity of the planet the temperatures are starting to rise and most transformations seem to be lessening. Though some are still occurring.

As the comet leaves for the depths of space its radiation and thus its effects fade. Leaving no one worse for wear but with small things changed here and there. Most changes are reverted or reverting within a week, though some may last longer or be permanent.
